Well, I had to pack up ALL of my scrap stuff for about 6 weeks! The good news is it is because all of my stuff was in our basement that is not finished and we have some COLD winters so it really sucked in the winter to have it down there, but I have SOOOO much stuff that it would not fit anywhere else....so anyway my Husband is spoiling me and having the entire basement finished!!! Oh I can't wait, HEAT, CARPET<> it is going to be awesome down there....but until then I won't be posting any cute things...BUT I will be scrapping the day it is finished so I will have lots to come :) Thanks for stoppin by!

Our Disney Cruise

Ok Ok, I will tell you all about it :) Well I can't tell you evrything, it would take to long! It was AWESOME! BEST VACATION EVER!! We only did the cruise NOT the land. We have been to Disney before and we wanted something more relaxing! IT WAS!! We went to the bahamas and Atlantis, swam with Dolphins!!! It was SOOO gorgeous!!! Then we went to Cast away Cay, Disney's private Island and it was so much fun! White Sandy Beach with a little bit of Disney thrown in there! On the ship was DELICIOUS food and great entertainment for the whole family! My kids LOVED IT!!! We are not that big into amusement type of things so this was great for us, The kids were entertained all day and they would crash by 10:30! It was so nice not to have to do the entertaining! If you have any specific questions about it just ask. We already booked for next year!! Now when I say this is my favorite so far, keep in mind that I have been to Hawaii, Cancun, Disney and many Beaches....It was a true vacation for us and the kids, we did not come home tired and for two whole days I totally did not think of anything from home!! I was having so much fun that I forgot about my life here at home, that has NEVER happened! I really can't say much about the Bahamas because we went straight to Atlantis and spent the whole day there, you can stay at the Bahamas or go to Atlantis, it is up to you....Atlantis is more Beautiful that what you see on TV on the commercials! I will try to post as many pics as I can, I took 318!!! But they will be posted on my other blog http://tammis-family.blogspot.com/

I see that I have not posted since April 9th!! I really need to post huh? Well I really don't have much to put on here just yet because I have not had any time to scrapbook! I have been so busy with work and the kids not to mention we went on a Disney Cruise!!! IT WAS FABULOUS!!! I plan on working on those pics very soon. I also need to do pages for Stamp Club! Easter Treat Box

I started out with a 8 1/2 inch circle that I used the cricut to cut. Line it up with your grid paper or mat and use a ruler if necessary, make a pencil line on the left and right sides of the circle at "2 3/4 and at 3 3/4" and score . Fold along the 2 3/4" score line , then line up the fold along the top edge of the personal paper trimmer. You are going to score at: 1 1/2 and 2 1/2" on the left and right side of the circle while it is folded. when you are aligning your folded circle, you are lining up the largest part of the circle with these dimensions. Crease along all the score lines.

Using your micro tip scissors, cut out the two smaller pieces of the circle, following the innermost (towards the center of the circle) score lines. Flip the circle over. Stamp all over the back of the circle. Flip the template back over, fold in the side flaps, and tape along the left and right edges of the bottom flap bring up the bottom flap and align and stick onto the side flaps. Take some CS scraps and run them through a crimper. Using a paper trimmer, cut them into very thin strips. Crunch up the strips and gently rub them between your palms. This will become the filler for your treat box.

I needed to come up with something that 3rd and 4th graders could do that would not take a lot of time. These were pre cut with the Cricut Bags Tags, Boxes and more! I needed 50 so it was nice to have the cricut precut for me :) Then they can just decorate and put some candy inside! Cute and Fast!

These are the cards my kids are making for their class...Bobby's is of course the Dinosaur and Taylor's is the Dog. They are 4x4 after they are folded and they have a snack size pack of M & M 's in them. I wanted to make it simple yet cute because they are only 8 and 10 and we have to make 50 all together!

The Winter Blues

I do not like this cold weather! I need warm sunshine! I should have been born down south! Or maybe I should have moved down south long ago! Well it is all to late for that, I have a business and my hisband has a career and the kids go to a great School. So here I am, up late....can't sleep. My husband and I are taking the kids on a Disney Cruise in May and I CANNOT WAIT!!!! I am done with the colds, the flu, the stomache viruses!!! I am not into winter activities like sledding and things like that. I like the Summer activities like water skiing and swimming, walking, riding my bike and cooking out, lounging around the pool! People around here seem to hang out a lot at the bars......The last time I went out to a club was with my friends for Christmas over a month ago....we are not to much into that now that we are older with families, we do try to have a night out with drinking about every 3-4 months which is enough! It takes me that long to recooperate. But we do have a glass of wine and girl talk in between.
I have been taking the kids to the movies, or to get icecream with friends. I am running out of ideas for them to do, so I have been letting them play on the wii or the ps2. I have been catching up on my scrapbooking and catching a movie and lunch with my friends. I am looking forward to my movie night that I am having at my house on Feb 15th. I invited all of my friends to bring a movie and a snack to my house and we are going to have a night for chick flicks! So I am just rambling on about my life.
I will post pictures of my scrap book pages tomorrow if I get time, I have a Silpada home show to do at 4pm!

Hey! I'm back! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year! Ours was great! I had a very relaxing time off with my family. I can't believe it is almost over, back to School Monday for the kids and back to working a full week for me on Tuesday. I enjoyed playing games with the kids, baking, making Gingerbread houses and just being home with them. I also had to time to scrapbook! I made a display album for my good friend Heather for her Birthday. It took me a total of 9 hours. I wanted to make something for her because she is so talented and is always making things for other people! Here are the pictures of it, all she has to do is put her pictures in it! I titled it Memories 08 so she could put in snapshots of that year! I must admit it was really hard to part with once I was finished.I also made about 8 pages for my own books and plan on making more tomorrow. I do not have pictures of them yet but I will take pics and post those as well!

This is the project that I will be doing with my Son's 4th Grade class and my Daughter's 3rd Grade Class. I used the Cricut Bags Tags and more cartridge to make the box. I got the idea from the CTMH Bulletin Boards.

Ok so I was stressing, didn't think I would have a whole lot of time BUT yesterday we decorated our house and put the tree up! Today I wrapped presents and even had time to make ornaments AND have time to BLOG ABOUT IT!! Yippee!! I am almost done with my shopping so I am right on the ball this year! With the kids getting older, it is getting a bit easier! Can you believe all of my housework is done too? LOL do you hate me yet? I just can't believe it myself that I am this far ahead...I thought with me having the Salon and the Spa it would be more stressful but my employees are awesome so I am not stressing as much! Ok so enough already right?

Glass ornaments

2 ways to make them, the 2nd one I stamped with staz on an acetate sheet and then colored on the back side of the sheet with colored sharpies then after it completely dried I painted liquid glass on the sharpie side and sprinkled with prisma glitter let dry over night and rolled it up and inserted it in the glass ball and added snow. The 1st one I used reinker mixed with water and then sprinkled some prisma glitter inside! Super easy!

Sprinkle glitter while it is still wet, I took one of those little containers, you know the ones that 35 mm film come in? I mixed half water half ink, I poured some in, not the whole thing. BUT DO NOT SHAKE IT!! you will get bubbles, so I swirled it and I just added a little more until it was enough to cover the ball. Then I took a piece of paper and rolled it to make it into a tunnel, poured some prisma glitter and shook gently.

I did these last year and I used sweat leaf and dutch blue. I am getting ready to do some more because they look awesome on the tree and they are great to give away as gifts too!

I have off work Sunday and Monday so this will be my project!

Ok, I really shouldn't be on here right now but I have to blog about this....
For the first time ever Thanksgiving is at my house and I am cleaning and trying to get ready for tomorrow when I had this overwhelming feeling to go make Christmas cards, I kept ignoring this but it got the best of me!! So while cleaning my bathrooms I decided to go make cards LOL I left everything just sit there and went into my scrap area and whipped up 12 really cute cards :) I would post pics of them but you might be getting one so I don't want to spoil it!I will post them after I mail them out and know that you have received yours! I still have more to make but I had such a creative moment I just had to take advantage of it! So now I have to go back to cleaning....

That I am further behind in my Scrapbooks than I thought! Taylor is in 3rd Grade and I didn't even have her Kindergarten book finished let alone 1st and 2nd. I have Bobby's Kindergarten done and I have started 1st grade and he is in 4th!! So my goal is to get them caught up in their School books. On top of that I am a year behind with everything else, like Birthday's Christmas, Halloween etc..I am slowly catching up on that stuff though. I knew opening up the Spa would take up a lot of my time but I didn't realize just how much! It was worth it though I love having a Hair Salon and a Spa!
I also love this new feature with the slide shows!! If you click on one of my slide shows you can view the album up close! Today is Monday and my Salon is closed, so I try to get all of my work done around the house on Sundays so Melissa and I can Scrapbook all day on Monday! I finished 10 pages today! Maybe in a few months I will be all caught up! That would be a great feeling! Well I have to go help the kiddos with Home work!

Well, My Husband and I are getting ready to go to Pittsburgh Sunday the 9th to see a Steelers Game!! I can't wait!! We are staying in Station Square for the night...a little getaway! Things have been so busy lately between the Salon and the kids and our new dog Chloe who is the cutest thing ever! I have never had a small dog before, she is a Shitzu Bichon mix. Small dogs are a little harder to train but she is finally getting it!! She was born on my Birthday May 24th so she is about 5 months old now. She is 7 pounds and will probably get to be 10 pounds! I am looking forward to things getting busier at the Salon for the Holiday Season!! It is my favorite time of the year! My kids are getting older and time is flying by! I have been trying my hardest to do as many pages as I can on my day off before it gets to busy. I feel like I will never catch up! School is going GREAT for my kids this year and I love to be a part of it! I try to stop in and help out when I can. My Son Bobby who is 10 started playing the Drums this year and is pretty good at it! My Daughter Taylor who is 8 is taking some time off from Dance, she was in Dance for 5 years and wanted a break, it has been nice, now we get to spend more time together....She LOVES Dogs! If it were up to her we would have at least 10! She already spoke with our Vet and they told her when she is 15 she can work there!! LOL
Well just wanted to update on my life.....still having a hard time deciding where to take my employees for Christmas Dinner! It will be here before you know it!

I have not been able to scrap in 2 weeks or more! I thought once School let out I would have more time! I am getting ready to have a yard sale this friday and that is SO much work. My daughter has Summer dance and a Dance Camp. My Son has Karate and is in a Summer enrichment program! That is all on top of me working at the Spa, and having 7 employees! I am going to neglect my housework next week, take a few days off from work and scrap! I will post pics as soon as I get my projects done! I have been looking at all of the CTMH Blogs and I am inspired by such a creative group of girls I can't wait to scraplift from you girls!! Until next time :)

Hi!
